Maybe it is just me, but when I purchased this item, I thought I was getting everything I needed. It was only after I purchased that I read customer reviews (I should have read it first) and realized I had to go buy and cut the wood. I did finish it and it is quite nice. So, I guess the description deserves the 2 stars, but the finished product and ease of construction gets 4 stars. It took me quite a while to get it put together…I had trouble getting the screws in straight.

So far this product has worked great. It was easy to assemble as the instructions were clear. I recommend using pressure treated wood or cedar for the 2 X 4′s.

We used two of these benches for the center of our labyrinth in the woods. We used cedar boards because they would be less likely to rot than plain 2×4′s so our benches cost a little more. The benches were easily assembled and are very sturdy. They look great. I think this is a terrific concept for inexpensive outdoor furniture.

This bench was very easy to put together and solid once together. My husband was pleased with the cost and the fact that you could easily design it to fit the size you want. Overall, a pretty good deal.
